Chiang Mai Zipline Flight of the Gibbon
Flight of the Gibbon opened our original Thailand Zipline course in Chiang Mai in 2007. Since then, we’ve continually strived to improve our service to make it the best Zipline course in Asia. We make your day in the Thai rainforest unforgettable.
Our Flight of the Gibbon Chiang Mai Zipline course is situated in absolutely stunning, old-growth, virgin rainforest inbetween Mae Takhrai National park and Chae Son National Park in the forest Village of Mae Kampong. The location is an enjoyable 1 hour drive in our air conditioned vans through this beautiful country from Chiang Mai.
With Ziplines, abseils, sky bridges and nature trails, your day of Ziplining in the Chiang Mai rainforest will be a memorable experience. And we will take care of you every step of the way with expert Sky Rangers and the highest possible safety standards on the course. You will also be treated to a tasty Thai lunch and receive round-trip transfers to and from your hotel in our comfortable air-conditioned vans.

The Only Zipline with Wild Gibbons
Our name and ethos is inspired by the wild gibbons living in our area. We are delighted to say that the original gibbons closest to our course were rehabilitated and released in 2007. They have gone from strength to strength and have established their own territory within sight of our Chiang Mai Zipline course.
The gibbons have been so successful in the wild that they have now produced offspring. To hear and watch these gibbons high up in the treetops is a special feeling and one which you too can experience when you book a Zipline tour with Flight of the Gibbon. To have the best chance to see these majestic endangered animals, we recommend a 6.30am pickup. The gibbons are most active and vocal in the mornings.

Chiang Mai Zipline Course
We have created courses with Ziplines at different heights and lengths to take our visitors on a thrilling trip through the treetops and jungle. Whether it’s walking along sky-bridges suspended in the tree canopy, standing on viewing platforms, abseiling down ropes to the forest floor or clambering over cargo nets, a Flight of the Gibbon experience is designed for fun and adventure.
Responsible Eco-Tourism
When you Zipline with Flight of the Gibbon you become part of our conservation experience. Thanks to your support we have established several conservation programs in Thailand and believe it is crucial to involve the local community in these programs. Flight of the Gibbon are committed to this key part of our business with a percentage of our profits going towards conservation.

How long is the tour? What’s the itinerary?
The total Zipline Experience is approximately 7 hours from pickup to drop-off. We will pick you up from your hotel in Chiang Mai and it’s a 1 hour drive to our beautiful rainforest location, safety introduction, 2-3 hours of Ziplining, Waterfall visit, lunch, and then return to your hotel.
So a 6.30am pickup will return around 1.30pm or a 9am pickup will return around 4pm.
Can young children or older adults do the Zipline?
Ziplining with Flight of the Gibbon is suitable and safe for all ages ranging from children to senior citizens. No special training is required and guests are looked after by our highly trained Sky Rangers.
We regularly have children as young as 5 years old and adults up to 80. There are two rules:
1. Guests must be a minimum height of 1 meter (3ft 3in) to ensure the harness fits securely.
2. The maximum permissible weight of individuals is 120kg (264lbs) although our equipment is designed to take much greater weights.
What if it's Raining?
Flight of the Gibbon is a great experience for all types of weather. The course remains open and it’s business as usual in most weather conditions. We will only stop during strong winds or if there is a risk of lightning. The Zipline is actually super fun in the rain! We are in a RAIN-forest after all.
